Disc Golf Term Glossary

Anhyzer flex shots are generally stable discs released anhyzer that perform a full S-shaped flight. It's a shape/finesse shot used on and off the tee, but not often seen when putting.
Back of the Box (BOB)
The player currently holding the worst record on the card tees last.
Bagger
A "sand-bagger" would be someone using sand bags to slow the ascent of a hot air balloon. In this case, a "bagger" is a person who is artificially ruining their scores to lower a rating or raise a handicap. It is also used to describe someone playing in a lower division than they belong in.
Ball Golf (BOLF)
Golf. Regular old golf played with clubs and balls.
Beat in
A disc that's been used for a while. It's been said that it takes a hundred hours of flight time to truly break in a disc... but once it reaches that point, it will never change again. Of course, with different plastics... your mileage may vary.
Charlotte Amateur Championship (CAC)
Yearly am champs in CLT.
Dead Frickin' Last (DFL)
Where BOB ends up if they aren't careful.
Flat as Fuh (FAF)
A board-flat disc. No dome.
Mob Golf
Golfing with 6 or more players in a group.
Patent Pending
The "Patent Pending" shot is an unorthodox shot stance used when experiencing bad footing or an obstructing lie. The player will place their back foot on the marker and throw backwards.
Pro Player's Course (PPC)
A course or layout designed for professional disc golfers.
Right Hand Back Hand (RHBH)
Throwing backhand with your right hand. This is the most common stance in disc golf, and is akin to swinging a baseball bat from a left-handed (switch-hitting) stance. Flight charts found online will generally be based on a RHBH thrower.
Stable
Stability is the discs tendency to remain straight through most of the flight. Often times a desirable characteristic of a disc in windy situations.
Tournament Player's Club (TPC)
Understable
The tendency of a disc to turn to the right during the high speed portion of the flight for a RHBH thrower. The faster the disc is thrown, the more it will turn, therefore an understable disc will turnover more upwind than downwind.
